Triggering fond memories of visits to the Rothko Chapel in Houston. And reminded of a young fellow I worked with years ago who absolutely hated color-field painting in general and Rothko in particular. The literal-minded cannot tolerate the ineffable, it seems.
Potent thoughts friend…. I encounter same on this blog daily. I’d tear my hair out but have little to spare. So so many only speak their native tongue and care not to learn even a word or two in another language. Perhaps they find themselves in the middle of a lake, driven by currents, in a boat and oarless.
