I always wonder about quotes like this. Who said that that was the original goal of painting? I mean I didn’t even know there was ONE goal for painting. I don’t think anyone else knows about that goal either, not if you just look around a little. Maybe he just decided that it was his goal and everyone else should follow his lead.
